We utilize your mobile phone number as a part of the authentication process by sending a verification code to your mobile device. Additionally, we send access and verification codes to your mobile device in the event of any changes to your account, when new devices are detected, etc. Essentially, for security reasons, we specifically require a mobile phone number.
